60% More Enquiries, and a new website

The Managing Director of Phantom Communications, who I found through LinkedIn, was struggling with a few things.

  1. He wanted more enquiries.
  2. He wanted a better website, as he’d just done a DIY job.

Here’s how I gave him a new website, and got him 60% more enquiries in August

1. Research

The most important step when starting out, is to see what your competition is doing. Particularly with SEO and Web design, it’s imperative to see what is working, and who it’s working for.

We first identified the top players in the local area of North-Wales, and identified 5 other competitors, who were offering a similar service to Phantom Communications.

2. Website Redesign

Next, the website had to be re-designed. Although this was a smaller website, it had to pack a punch. Which is why we produced 7 pages initially:

  • Homepage
  • About
  • Services
  • Grants
  • Contact
  • 4G Broadband
  • CCTV Installation

This, along with a beautiful new colour-scheme for the brand, meant we had a website which looked aesthetically pleasing, and served as a great foundation for SEO.

3. Search Engine Optimisation

We first had to understand what the main search terms we wanted to rank for are. In particular, with consultation with my client, we determined that CCTV Solutions, and specifically CCTV North-Wales would be an excellent, high purchase intent search term to target.

As a result, we optimised the CCTV installation page to use this keyword, mentioned specific locations within north wales to position us as a local authority, and wrote blog content to position us as a topical authority on CCTV solutions in north-wales.

Although these were primarily on-page improvements, we also took the time to do some off-page optimisations.

From this, we saw a healthy boost in rankings for relevant search terms, which resulted in commercial traffic to the website.

Summary

Overall, for the results, we managed to increase the monthly enquiries by 60%, resulting in more referrals, more future work, and more business growth!
